The film Hancock is about an unconventional superhero played by Will Smith. This trailer showcases just how unorthadox the superhero is with wanton acts of destruction. The intertitles at the beginning are set up dramatically, making the audience think that this will be just a regular superhero film. This is shown by the fact that the sky is the backdrop for the titles, and that the titles are big and bold. The dialougue that they selected for the trailer all indicate that this super hero is not very popular because of his behaviour such as being drunk all the time, and the wanton acts of destruction that he causes whilst saving the city. This seems like the type of film to appeal to everyone from a
very wide range, however the certificate of the film is 12 so any male or
female over the age of 12 can watch it, further the age range in my opinion is
12 - 21. The trailer seems to be a linear narrative as it does not
jump from one bit to another, it has a clear and noticeable chronological order
making it easy to follow and not get confused with the plot without really
giving too much away.
